In the past year, I have not only fallen in love with photographing weddings but I have gone head over heels for photographing children.  There is something about their innocence and their willingness to play that makes them so fun to capture and, they remind us so easily of what really matters when we’re going through our day to day.  I could probably spend countless hours with each child just capturing them playing and being themselves.  This holiday season, I had the pleasure of capturing little Grace in all her leaps and bounds.  I think anyone will agree she is absolutely ADORABLE!  I set up the “studio” in their livingroom and just let her go wild.  It was so fun to capture Grace’s every move as she played along with Rudolph and Clarice and had a ball rolling around and throwing the ornaments.  She kept asking to “see the baby” on the camera screen and as soon as she did, without fail, everytime, she clasped her hands and grinned from ear to ear because she knew who was in the picture! (makes your heart melt!) We got some great shots that day and they made a cute Christmas card too!!!  Here are some of my favorites from Grace’s session!

WOW!  We made it through a wonderful, fun and BUSY holiday season!  November hit and so did the sessions!  I haven’t had much time to breathe let alone blog about all the fun sessions and designing I’ve been doing.  So, now that we’re in the new year, I wanted to take the opportunity to share what I’ve been up to.  I love the holidays and this year I have even more reasons to love that magical time of year.  To start my string of posts that are long overdue, I want to share a fun session I had with Harry, Jessica, and their three furry friends.  This was my first time using any kind of lighting/studio set up on my own but also, the first time I’ve had the opportunity to work with multiple animals.  I quickly found that all you have to do is make silly noises and they pay attention very quickly!  Here are some highlights from their super fun “studio” session!

Once again, mother nature gave us a beautiful November day!  On November 12, I headed out to Greene Lake/Yates Park in Orchard Park to capture Justyn and Meagan.  These two are good friends of ours and have been engaged for the past 2 years, patiently awaiting the time to kickoff their wedding planning.  Well, the time has finally arrived and what better way to celebrate and get in the spirit than with some fun engagement pictures.  Justyn and Meagan are such a cute couple with so much pure love for eachother and that is eactly what I aimed to capture.  I make it my goal with every couple and family I work with to not just take their picture but to create imagery that embodies their love and personality.  I think we did the job here!  I am so excited for these two to get married this coming May!  Here are some truly sweet highlights…

This Fall season has granted us some wonderful and rare weather conditions.  We have had beautiful 60 degree fall days, leaves still on the trees, sunshine…of course this means opportunity for some really great and fun photo sessions!  I am learning more and more as my career progresses how much I ADORE photographing children!  Last Sunday, I had the opportunity to run around with some really cool kids and capture their fun and spirited personalities for a family photo session.  We have known the Cancelmi’s for a long time.  I grew up with Jen, I’m pretty sure she may have even baby sat for us a few times!  So it was my pure joy to photograph their 4 children, Alec, Anthony, Adam, and Aiden as well as a few family photos too.  The Cancelmi’s are a beautiful family full of love and laughter and it is evident how much joy surrounds their relationship everyday.  I made it my goal to capture not only the purity of their love as a family through photography but also the individuality of each child that brings that warmth and love.  Here are some of my favorite shots from their day!
