Gina and Mike’s wedding tops my charts for best weddings of 2014.  This crew was an absolute blast to work with and they were up for anything in the name of Gina and Mike.  Now THAT’S a wedding party to be proud of!  Gina and I met a little over a year ago over a cup of coffee to chat about her plans and details for her big day.  As I listened to her swoonfully talk about her wonderful fiancé Mike whom she had been with for a number of years and excitedly spill all the fun details she was planning for the wedding, I silently thought to myself “I HAVE to work with these two!!!”  Gina and Mike booked and so began our journey.  We had a DYNAMITE engagement session last October at Akron Falls State Park with raging fall colors and nature all around.  They were naturals and after that, I had no doubt their wedding day was going to be effortless 🙂  The day began as most of my wedding days do with the girls getting ready.  This is my favorite part of the day with all the excitement and anticipation building up for the walk down the aisle.  Their ceremony took place at the beautiful St. Mary’s in Lancaster.  We stopped at a fave spot of mine, Tifft Nature Preserve, for some breathtaking photos of Gina and Mike.  We ventured out onto the boardwalks for a good portion of our time together.  It was hard to know when to stop!  Every move these two made together was seamless and full of love and adoration.  You can’t help but fall in love watching these two interact with each other.  Mike’s complete and total devotion to Gina is infectious with each embrace they share.  It is truly magical.  My heart melted several million times.  Their reception took place at the Webb at Pearl Street and man did they ROCK it!  If you haven’t checked this venue out, you have to!  It really is one of Buffalo’s gems!  please enjoy their wedding day story, full of love and emotion pouring over.  It was such an honor to work with you two and your families.  I look forward to our time together in the future as your love continues to grow!

Gina’s mom specially decorated and did a makeover on Gina’s old bedroom to create a “photo worthy” space for Gina and the girls to get ready in!  I was floored!  And it was perfect!!!  It was so worth it!!!  Go mom!!!

Mike was a little nervous but calm, cool and collected.  You could tell he was ready and eager to meet his bride! Adorable!

 

The shiny floor was awesome at St. Mary’s.  It made for some really cool reflective shots throughout the ceremony.

Some quick and fun shots on the Buffalo Waterfront.  Everyone got silly!

 

This is my favorite shot of the entire evening.  The lighting, the colors…all enhance the mood and what is going on between these two.  The room was silent as these two shared their first dance together.

Nothing is more special and everlasting than the love between dad and his daughter. Emotion (and laughter) was not spread during Gina’s dance with her dad.

 

Mike and his mom took to the dance floor and whirled each other around laughing and enjoying the moment.  It was so fun and sweet to watch 🙂

And THEN, the dance floor opened to everyone and there was no hesitation to get the party started!

I am reallly excited to introduce this couple of love birds.  Settimia inquired about booking her wedding last year and when she called one day out of the blue this past July eagerly wanting to book, I was ecstatic.  I could tell from our phone conversation about all her wedding details they were going to be a fun couple to work with.  The three of us met for their engagement session at the Japanese Gardens at the History Museum and Delaware Park and from the first shot, these two were born naturals.  They chemistry was dynamite and every move they made seemed effortless.  We shared a ton of laughs and fun moments throughout our session and there is no doubt in my mind these two are going to ROCK the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center next July!!!  I had a blast with this engagement session!  I can’t wait for the big day you two!  Check out some favorite shots!

Rochester NY Engagement Photographers

Jenny and I go way back to high school in my hometown of Churchville, NY.  When she contacted me about the possibility of photographing her wedding, I was ecstatic.  How great would it be to get the opportunity to capture the biggest, happiest day for a friend and fellow classmate?!  This is where my job comes full circle and I admit it makes my heart smile.  I get so many opportunities each year to work with and photograph wonderful and unique families, couples, and weddings and when it’s someone I know, it makes it even more special.  These two together are dynamite.  They have a sweet, quiet and spirited love that is so evident when they look at each other.  We frolicked around Corn Hill Landing in Rochester for some cool city shots and then headed to Highland Park for some more natural images where we found THE coolest tree around.  You’ll see it below!!!  They made my job easy!  I simply cannot wait for their wedding next May!  Check out their sneak peek.

Buffalo NY Wedding Photographers

One pretty sentimentally awesome aspect of my job I have encountered so far is having the honor to photograph people I know on their most important day and being there to capture all the details and their bliss.  I first met Kristin when we were students at Daemen College, which seems like forever ago now!  I was actually her Resident Assistant haha!  When she contacted me about photographing her wedding for her a little over a year ago, I was touched and of course, completely honored to be her photographer.  Kristin has a smile that lights up the room and just about the most easy-going and care free personality of anyone I have met in life so far.  And it’s clear that Jonathan brings out the best in her and is truly her soul mate.  Their day was simple, fun and beautiful with old man weather holding out just long enough for us to get some lovely, softly lit photographs amongst the trees at Emery Park in East Aurora.  I barely had to direct these two as their chemistry was so dynamic sparks flew without effort 🙂  I love when that happens! Kristin and Jonathan were married at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Hamburg and celebrated a rocking’ reception at the Old Orchard Inn with fantastic, non-stop music and entertainment provided by Signature Entertainment.  Kristin and Jonathan, your day was effortlessly beautiful and I had such a great time capturing all of the wonderful moments shared by you, your friends and families.  Here are some of the best shots from the day, and it was a hard choice!!!!  Congratulations again you two!

There are some people you meet in life that you just feel truly blessed to know.  Abbey and Adam were an instant connection for me and as soon as we met for our consultation, I was super hopeful that I would get to photograph their big day.  Let’s start with the fact that these two are head over heels, to the moon and back, you look gorgeous in your sweatpants in love with each other.  Adam gets this melty smile whenever Abbey is near and Abbey…well I swear she is always smiling and you can’t help but just love the two of them together!  Their day began in their hometown of Dunkirk, NY and we then traveled back to the city for some urban, edgy fun and a little storm chasing!  These two and their wedding party were down for anything which was perfect because Mother Nature was literally chasing US the entire day.  The dark clouds were rolling in fast over Tifft Nature Preserve and we got in some awesome, super cool shots just in time for the skies to open up.  That’s when we hit the steps of Buffalo City Hall.  Adam’s a big architecture and history guy so this was perfect!  As you can see some of our group shots look pretty ominous.  Judgement day was rolling in it seemed and these guys persevered to get the shots they wanted.  And the results are pretty spectacular and cool.  Abbey and Adam, your day was nothing short of beautiful and amazing and I am so honored you asked me to be such a big part of your day.  Congratulations you two!!!!  Here’s a sneak peek collection of some of our favorite shots from the day!!!!

 

Abbey was easily the happiest bride EVER!

 

I am in love with this moment that happened here between Abbey and her sweet mom.  It’s moment’s like this that make a wedding story come together.  I’m so glad we captured it!

 

Abbey and Adam’s adorably sweet son patrick was so excited for the day and very intrigued in this makeup process mom was going through haha!

 

I think my jaw literally dropped when I saw these shoes!  Betsey Johnson’s wedding collection apparently make some knock out heels!  And Abbey rocked them for 95% of the day.  A LOT further than I would have ever made it!  I was in my rain boots before my reception even hit!

 

Such lovely detailing on her gown and it was a glove-like fit.

Abbey wore her grandmother’s earrings for the day.  Timeless glam and elegance.

There is a special tree Abbey’s grandmother planted outside the church and it was so important and meaningful for us to get a shot by that tree.  Incorporating sentimental moments like this into your wedding day tugs at the heartstrings and makes it all that much more memorable and special.

 

Ah!  How can you not love them!!!!

 

The Statler boasts exemplary service and style for weddings but it also offers something hard to find; ridiculously awesome architecture and top notch detailing.  We are so lucky to have this gem in Buffalo!
