This wedding season has been so busy and awesome!  I have had the opportunity to work with and meet some pretty awesome couples and of course photograph their equally awesome weddings!  Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Stephanie and Mark at the Millenium Hotel in Buffalo, NY.  We worked hard to pick a great location for post-ceremony photos.  Now, this is where being a wedding photographer in Buffalo, NY has it’s perks!  You can literally get to so many great places in 20 minutes!  This is especially great for a wedding photographer because it usually means you don’t have to go far to get some great shots!  We chose Como Park in Depew and I think Stephanie and Mark will agree their photos are beautiful and truly tell-tale of their chemistry as a couple.  These two love birds made it so easy to capture love and emotion on their wedding day!  Here are some shots from their Buffalo, NY wedding!

Another awesome wedding for 2013!  Ashley and Dan were married at the Bond Lake Warming House in Lewiston, NY.  It was an absolutely stunning location and made for some breathtaking and color popping images from their day.  Our journey together began a year ago when we did their engagement session at Knox Farm.  I was crawling around photographing these two 8 months pregnant and we laughed together at their wedding remembering that!  Fortunately, I was not so pregnant this summer and could move around much easier at their wedding 🙂  I mean every word when I say Ashley and Dan are PERFECT for eachother and they know it too.  Their handwritten vows and exclusive first dance fake out (it started as Elvis “Can’t help falling in love” and quickly changed pace to Michael Jackson “the way you make me feel”) were a couple of the highlights for me.  The best moment however goes to the Ashley and her dad both shedding small tears of joy (picture below!) as they shared their dance.  It gets me every time!  I had a blast capturing their gorgeous wedding day!

Being a wedding photographer in Buffalo, NY has given me a chance to learn just how many cool places we have in our city.  April and Garrett were married a couple weeks ago on a nice, early spring afternoon.  Their ceremony took place at the Karpele’s Manuscript Library Museum (which was timeless and beautiful!) with a reception at one of my personal favorite venues: Pearl Street Grill & Brewery.  The best part of their day was Garrett’s dad performing their ceremony.  It added such a personal touch.  Being able to see father and son in the moments before the wedding, preparing themselves, one to marry his best friend, the other to watch his son begin the next chapter in his life, was such a sweet experience.  And that’s really what my job is all about: capturing those moments, the anxiety and excitement…everything!  Their day was filled with jokes, laughter, music and most importantly: Family.  Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your big day.

This past year and the new one have given me amazing opportunities to meet and photograph some wonderful individuals, families, and couples.  I would have to say the BEST part of what I do is being with my couples on the biggest day of their lives, sharing in their love and devotion and getting to capture it all for them to look back on 25, 30, 50 years from now.  Katie and Jane were married on a cool but sunny fall day and their wedding was full of love and laughter that you could feel throughout the room.  I live and breathe my work, so much that I get goosebumps when emotional moments happen.  Let’s just say, I had many goosebump moments!  I loved capturing every moment of their beautiful day.

My wedding season opened early this year with a beautiful wedding in March.  Although it was slightly chilly, these two had a beautiful day with blue skies and sunshine!  I had a great time capturing their beautiful day with their friends and family present to witness as they begin the next chapter!
