A little creativity and artistic vision can go a long way to further expose the emotion in a photograph.  As a photographer, my subject is my canvas and it is my goal to use my camera as my brush and vehicle to create evocative imagery.  From capture to process, I have the ability to not only take a picture but create an artistic image! Here are some recent artistic works with some extra love sprinkled in!

Friends of ours, Ashley and Ryan, welcomed Addison Jean MacDougall into their lives this past Christmas.  Earlier this past spring, I was invited into their home to photograph little Addison and all her cuteness!  I was geting images ready for the website and I wanted to post some of my favorites as my site as oldblog.michelledayphotos.com was not yet running when we had our fun photo shoot together!  Here are some adorable shots sure to make you crumble!

My favorite part about what I do is meeting awesome couples and telling their story through photography!!!  Joyce and Jake were no exception in the book of “awesome couples.”  We traveled to East Eden Road in Eden, NY to a hidden haven of open land behind Jake’s father’s home.  This was a place that meant so much to them both and they wanted it to be a part of their engagement backdrop!  Great idea because it was BEAUTIFUL!  Any Western New Yorker knows Eden is known for corn so, we figured we would run around in the corn fields and get some VERY cool shots!  Joyce and Jake are such a fun couple and I can’t wait for their TWO weddings next summer!!!!  Here are some fabulous moments (it was super hard to decide favorites!) from our session in the country!!!!

Business is blossoming already this year and 2012 is looking strong!  I can’t wait for the spring and engagement sessions with amazing couples like these two love birds just gets me even more excited!  A couple weeks ago, I was asked to shoot engagement photos for long time friends of myself and my husband, Angie and Rob.  These two are a FUN couple and are both local volunteer firefighters so you can imagine what the wedding will be like come September 2012!  We trekked out to Tifft Farms (pretty sure one of my new favorite spots to shoot!) just before the golden hour to catch some great shots that were fun, sweet, emotional AND most importantly captred the essence of the love and compassion these two have for eachother.  I can’t wait for the wedding! Here are some highlights!!!!

A few weeks ago, I had the great pleasure of photographing the wedding of Hannah and Ben Espinoza.  This was a good friend of my sister and it meant so much to me to return to my hometown to photograph their wedding!  A HUGE thank you to Ben and Hannah for letting me take their pictures of their pictures for their wedding!   The day began with the threat of severe storms.  But the weather didn’t hold this couple back from celebrating their love for eachother with their friends and family in style!  Ben and Hannah have so much love for eachother and I’m sure they will never forget their awesome day!  From all the sunflowers to the adorable sandwiches made by the Maid of Honor’s mom to the dresses, the yellow shoes (I love cute wedding shoes!) the first look and all the decorative details that made this day fall into place, their day was perfect.  And who said rain was bad luck on your wedding day?!  Bring on the showers!  Here are some highlights from their big day!
